Time and time again, explorers venture here to discover the secrets of the Tower of Lost Times.

But time and time again, their time here ends and the progress they make is lost to the ether.

Now you are here, and soon you'll fail. Will your knowledge of what you've discovered be preserved until the next time someone encounters the Tower?

You find yourself in front of a large door at the base of a Tower. The Tower rises imposingly above you.

The door is slightly ajar.

What do you do?

Open Door

You push the door open and find yourself at the southern entrance of a large hallway.

To the north, at the far end of the room is a massive double-door. A symbol is carved into it.

To the left side of the room (west), there are 4 doors, equally spaced.
The right side of the room (east) also contains a set of 4 doors, equally spaced.

Look at Door West #1

Be warned, once your actions lead you astray, the Tower will be lost and must be found again. Many explore and the progress many make is lost as memories fade.

The first door to the west is closed shut and has a strange symbol on it.

Look Symbol

You see something like an inverted 'V' above an eye.

West Door #1

The next door to the west is closed shut and has a strange symbol on it.

Look Symbol

You see something that looks like an infinity symbol, with an up arrow on the leftmost part and a down arrow on the rightmost part.

Look each Door Symbol

The remaining west doors have symbols that appear like:
An open book.
Two circles with three lines crossing at their center.

The east doors from nearest to farthest appear like:
A circle split at the top and bottom, with a small half circle facing left at the top and one facing right at the bottom.
An I with two lines hanging down from the top portions of the I, containing triangles.
A circle with a diagonal line and an arrow facing right at the bottom.
A lightning bolt.

Look North Door

The north door contains a faint outline of a circle with 8 darkened circles within, spaced equally along the edge.

Open Lightning Door

You open the door with the lightning bolt symbol.

You see a room of some sort beyond.

Open Book Door

You open the door with a book symbol.

You see a room of some sort beyond.

Open All Door

Opening each of the west and east doors, you find a similar room of some sort.

Opening the north door, you find a large octagonal room.
There are 8 doors (one on each wall, including the one you just opened).
The entire tower you are in begins to shake.

As you close the north door, you hear a sound of grinding gears from the room beyond and something moving on the other side of the door.

Action-Line 1

Look inside all rooms

Looking inside all the rooms, you find identical pedestals in the center of each room.

It looks like something can be placed on it.

Each pedestal is marked with the same symbol as the door to the room.

Go in room with lightning

You enter the room with the lightning bolt symbol, observing the empty pedestal. The tower continues to shake violently.

Put phone on pedestal

The Tower shatters.

REMARK: So the north door is not shut and the tower is heavily shaking

Action-Line 2

Close north door

As you close the north door, you hear a sound of grinding gears from the room beyond and something moving on the other side of the door.

Look around

You look around and notice nothing new. The door to the north remains closed, while the rest are partially open. The sound of grinding gears and shaking has stopped.

Go in room west 2

You enter the room with the infinity symbol, observing the empty pedestal. You wonder if your inventory contains anything of use.

REMARK: The north door is closed and the tower stopped shaking
