We’re trying to decipher some notes left by an Aeternus Center researcher. Any information you can find out would be valuable.
Joanna,
I took the measurements from the resonance point as requested while here. The signal time varied a bit, but ended up averaging to 679.7896 ms. Let me know if you need another measurement, I might come back to get some pictures here during the night.

Just leaving the Fairmont now, crossing the street and walking in front of an old cathedral, might take a tour after I’m done with the measurements. Luckily it looks like the park is fairly empty now. Of course there’s a horse statue in the middle of this park as well. I’ll set up at the base of it to take a measurement. 309.0827 ms. I’ll come back later in the day to grab another measurement. Going to check out Notre Dame or get off the island and do some tourism.
We’ve commissioned your resonance fragment. To confirm, the measurements are:
16 kilogram
1 ampere
resonance of ⅔ kg*A
(s)*c*(kg*A) = (m)*(kg)*(A)

Solution
The Liberty Statue (Location #1)
The picture is from the
Odaiba Statue of Liberty, Tokyo, Japan
Signal Time: 679.7896 ms
The Horse Statue (Location #2)
There is a "ile de notre dame", as well as a "notre dame" in Montreal. And also a Fairmont Hotel, near a cathedral and a park which has a horse statue
Dorchester Square, Montreal, Canada
(not sure if location is indeed right —> there might be other location with similar landmarks)
The Code (Location #3)
Using a Vigenere cipher cracking algorithm reveals the key:
CLOUDSREST
which is a peak in Yosemite Park
The decodes message reads:
SINCE BEGINNING EXPERIMENTS USING CLOUDSRESTS UNIQUE STRUCTURE AS A RESONANCE POINT FOR MEASUREMENTS I'VE HAD SOME SUCCESS IN DETECTING WHAT WE'VE BEEN CALLING THE ETA FRAGMENT. THE SIGNAL STRENGTH STILL VARIES QUITE A BIT BUT HOPEFULLY WITH ENOUGH DATA SAMPLES WE'LL BE ABLE TO PINPOINT IT'S LOCATION WITH PRECISION. NOTE TO SELF, GRAB THE LATEST RESULTS FROM MY FLOOR SAFE TO INPUT IN TO THE CENTER DATABASE
-HART
This led to the Floor safe puzzle.
The correct solution (?)
We assume that we were not meant to use a Vigenere auto solver and that the correct solve would have been:
Step 1:
The formula can be solved this way (c = light velocity = 300 km/ms or 299.792458 km/ms)
s*c*(2/3) = m*16*1
m = s*c*(2/3)*(1/16)
m = s*c*(1/24)
km = ms * 300/24
using this with the signal times of Location #1 and #2 (exact locations see above) and c = 300 we get
Location # | Location | signal time | distance |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Tokyo | 679,7896 ms | 8497,37 km |
#2 | Montreal | 309,0827 ms | 3863,53375 km |
Step 2
This results in two circles on the earth which intersect here (using online tool: http://geo.javawa.nl/coordcalc/index_en.html (external link)):

This intersection (N 37.83116° W 119.49871) is near (but not exact) at
